The idea for The Tiny Fan started with a very simple problem: the heat.

Whether it was rushing to class, waiting for transport, walking under the afternoon sun, sitting in a stuffy room, or trying to stay fresh during a long commute, we kept facing the same uncomfortable situation again and again. The heat made even normal days feel tiring. A short walk could leave you sweaty. A crowded bus or metro ride could feel endless. Even getting ready, doing makeup, studying, or working at a desk became harder when there was no proper airflow.

At first, we tried the usual solutions. We carried handkerchiefs, drank cold water, stood near windows, looked for shade, and waited for ceiling fans or air conditioning wherever we went. But none of these solved the real problem: we needed something personal, portable, and easy to carry anywhere.

That’s when we started looking for a better solution.

We wanted something small enough to fit in a bag, cute enough to carry confidently, and useful enough to actually make a difference. But finding the right portable fan was not as easy as we expected. Some were too bulky. Some looked boring. Some were weak. Some didn’t feel like something you would want to carry every day.

After trying, comparing, and learning what people actually need in daily life, we realized there was a gap. Portable fans should not just be practical — they should also feel stylish, simple, and made for everyday comfort.
